As founder of Wagner Alternators and Supplies, Inc., Michael watched the company grow from his garage at home to a worldwide global distribution supplier. With the assistance of his sons, Wagner has changed the focus of the company from a rebuilder to a component distributor. Michael saw many changes in the industry over the years. Wagner's has always taken pride in their ability to change with the market and be flexible in meeting the needs of our customers.

Michael began Wagner's in 1975 with rebuilding alternators and starters out of his garage for the local car dealers. He had previously worked for the Ford Motor Company and also managed an auto electrical repair shop.

Sadly Michael passed away in February of 2001. Michael's guidance and inspiration can still be felt at Wagner Alternator in their quest for excellence. Michael touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed not only in the industry, but the world as well.
